A VPS is a virtual private server which shares CPU, disk I/O, and network capacity with other VPSs on the same physical server. We offer VPSs on either OpenVZ or KVM virtualization.
A VDS is a virtual dedicated server with each CPU core allocated to a single server. Thus, the CPU is not shared between multiple virtual servers. Disk I/O and network capacity are still shared, but in an environment with less resource competition due to fewer servers on the host node. Our VDSs run on KVM.
