Our IPs often geolocate to our Atlanta location despite where your VPS is geographically located. As such, SpeedTest will try to test against an Atlanta server by default. If you want to check a local SpeedTest server, you have to manually specify which server to test.
List servers by location:
./speedtest-cli --list | grep "Atlanta"
./speedtest-cli --list | grep "Seattle"
./speedtest-cli --list | grep "New York"
Example test:
./speedtest-cli --server 4964
